Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using Budgy — Budget & Money Tracker ("Budgy," "the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. What Budgy is
Budgy is a personal finance tool that helps you track income, expenses, net worth, savings goals, bills, subscriptions, and debt payoff plans. All figures you see are calculated from information you enter yourself.
3. Not financial advice
Budgy is a planning and tracking tool, not a financial advisor. Debt payoff strategies (Avalanche and Snowball), budgets, and insights are calculated from the numbers you provide and are for informational purposes only. Consider speaking with a qualified financial professional for advice specific to your situation.
4. Your data and your device
Budgy stores the information you enter locally on your device. You are responsible for backing up your device (for example, through iCloud device backup) if you want to preserve your data. We are not able to recover data if your device is lost, reset, or the app is deleted, since we don't hold a copy.
5. Accuracy
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter. Budgy calculates totals, projections, and payoff timelines based on that input, and results are only as accurate as the data behind them.
6. Acceptable use
- Don't attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
- Don't use Budgy for any unlawful purpose
- Don't misrepresent the app or redistribute it outside the App Store
7. Changes to the app
We may update, change, or discontinue features of Budgy over time. We'll aim to keep your locally stored data intact across updates, but can't guarantee compatibility in every case.
8. Limitation of liability
Budgy is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for financial decisions made using the app, or for data loss due to device issues, deletion, or factors outside our control.

Privacy Policy
The short version
Budgy does not collect your data. Everything you enter — accounts, balances, goals, bills, and debts — is saved only on your device. We don't operate servers that store your financial information, and we don't send it anywhere.
What we don't collect
- We don't collect your income, expenses, balances, or debt information
- We don't require an account, email, or sign-up
- We don't use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
- We don't sell or share data, because none is collected
Where your data lives
All information you enter into Budgy is stored locally in the app's storage on your iPhone. If you back up your device through iCloud or iTunes, your Budgy data may be included in that backup, governed by Apple's own privacy terms rather than ours.
Deleting the app
Uninstalling Budgy removes its locally stored data from your device (unless preserved in a device backup you created). Since we never held a copy, we can't restore it for you.
Children's privacy
Budgy is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, since the app doesn't transmit data at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date and, where required, in an app update.
